Simon’s current focus is on projects promoting collaboration between businesses and community, which can contribute to the integration and balance between environmental conservation, economic development and social needs.
His recent experience includes recognition by United Nations for his efforts in World Environment Day, implementing and facilitating the Bond University Sustainability Panel, receiving short film producer award for the Love Food Hate Waste project supported by the NSW Department of Environment, and hosting the Gold Coast’s Sustainable Long Lunch and Inter-school Eco Cooking Competitions.
Simon and his brand “MYLK – my little kitchen” gained instant recognition after Channel 7’s first reality TV cooking show, My Restaurant Rules, became a global hit, in 2004. His profile and expertise is sought regularly to contribute to all forms of media and includes food judging, professional input and event hosting.
SImon has appeared in all forms of media including; Channel 7’s Sunrise, Today Tonight programs, The Courier Mail, The Australian, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, The Financial Review, Gold Coast Bulletin and numerous other magazines, newspapers and websites.
